Mohammad bin Rashid City is one of the most significant land developments in the history of Dubai. By land size it is the single largest area dedicated to the development of various types of real estate projects in Dubai. Announced in 2012, MBR City consists of various ‘pockets’ of projects being developed by Government-backed as well as private developers.
About Mohammad bin Rashid City – MBRC
MBR City was unveiled in October of 2012. The initial vision and plans of the project called for 4 major components around which a number of real estate projects would be built around. These included: leisure, retail, arts and entrepreneurship.
The first projects to be unveiled in late 2013 and early 2014 in MBR City included the Dubai Hills Estate and District One. These projects primarily offer luxury grade plots and villas.
From 2014 onwards, a number of other projects have been launched including: Millennium Estates, Grand Views & Millennium Estates, The Fields, District 11, The Polo Homes & Townhouses.
Emaar, the most prominent developer in the UAE, have launched a number of projects including Mulberry, Acacia Heights and Maple. Many observers have commented that Emaar are replicating a successful formula of Emirates Living within the Dubai Hills Estate.
In 2015, Meydan launched the Meydan One development which will include Dubai’s second tallest building and a mega-mall.
